Lysha Holmes - the
face behind Qui! Recruitment
Qui recruitment was founded in order to provide a
superior and unique service within the Rec2Rec marketplace. The
difference in our service is outlined in the Qui service section
however fundamentally it was to provide a personal service to
recruitment consultants who wanted a representative in the
marketplace who had credentials, understood and acted upon their own
requirements, would not CV bash their CV just to hit activity
targets for the week and offer candid feedback throughout their
career hunt.
Lysha’s CV provides an

Having qualified in Business
and Finance, majoring in Marketing, Lysha began her career as an
Office Manager of a Property Management company for 3 years which
included registering tenants and landlords and managing the
administration and maintenance teams as well as the rental incomes
on the property portfolios.
Relocating to Birmingham in
1997 Lysha then worked for 1 year at Britvic Soft Drinks in Solihull
within the B2B telesales office where she was a top sales person for
national accounts such as Burger King and NUS.
Lysha joined Primetime
Recruitment technical division in 1998 where she placed white collar
engineers into permanent roles in the Midlands, namely within the
automotive and aerospace sectors. Her first week saw an £8k
placement for an electronics design engineer and by the end of the
first year, Lysha was averaging £35k in perm placements per month.
An award winner within the
business, Lysha won the Consultant of the year award in 1999/2000
for achieving over £400k of business. Lysha’s best month was £61k of
starters in one month (Jan 2000).
The secret to Lysha’s
success within her 3 years at Primetime was her network of contacts
and the ability to gain recommendations which counted for over 50%
of her applicants placed.
A relocation back to her
home town of Manchester in 2001 saw Lysha move to Phee Farrer Jones
(which later became known as PFJ) a market leader in media
recruitment. During the first year, Lysha managed the
implementation of the new Rec2Rec team which meant interviewing
candidates and visiting clients in the first instance whilst the
team developed their desks.
Simultaneaously, Lysha was
also establishing a new desk in Advertising Agencies. Within her
first month, Lysha had repeated her previous success with an £8400
fee for a Designer! The focus was placing “Suits” (Account Directors
and Business Developers) as well as the “Creatives” (Designers,
Copywriters, Creative Directors). However, the Marcomms and Ad
agency world was very erratic and although the desk generated
revenue, a business decision was made in 2003 for Lysha to focus on
the R2R market, which Lysha had dealt with on an ad hoc basis.
Once Lysha focused primarily
on the R2R marketplace, Lysha generated over £30k of placements
within her first 6 weeks, as well as continuing to manage a branch
of 4 people. Lysha continued to pioneer within the marketplace by
networking until she went on maternity leave in October 2004. In her
last week at work whilst 36 weeks pregnant, Lysha made 6 permanent
placements!
Lysha knows that the
recruitment marketplace is not full of robots or clones; it is a
world of real people who have lives outside of recruitment. Lysha
decided to set up her own agency, Qui Recruitment, which offers a
flexible service to all candidates and clients and genuinely treats
people with the one to one care that everyone deserves.

Lysha as it is her own business therefore no candidate will ever be
forced into going to an interview against their wishes and no client
will ever be cornered into making a decision into employing the
wrong candidate as Lysha is building a business for the future, not
just trying to hit monthly targets.
